Introduction

SkipBro helps you squeeze more value out of gaming VODs and guides. These Terms of Use are written in plain language to make it clear how you can use the service, what you're responsible for, and where our limits are.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms apply to every SkipBro surface — the browser extension, Gamer Mode web app, SkipBro Chat, and related services. By installing or using any of them, you agree to these terms.

What SkipBro Provides

Tools that sit on top of YouTube gaming videos: patch-aware validation, Moment Finder timestamps, build trees, and a chat assistant grounded in your runs.

Who Can Use SkipBro

You must be at least 13, follow your local laws, and have the right to analyze the videos you upload. Teams must ensure they are authorized to act for their players or clients.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use SkipBro and which videos you choose to analyze.

YouTube & Game Content

Analyze only the footage you have the right to view. You're responsible for complying with YouTube’s Terms of Service, in-game EULAs, and applicable copyright law.

Extension & Chat Usage

Do not scrape, mass-export, or attempt to clone creators’ work using our tools. Chat should summarize or contextualize footage—not fabricate new uploads or bypass creator paywalls.

Account Security

Keep credentials secure. Sharing accounts, reselling access, or impersonating others is prohibited. Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. What You Can't Do

Certain activities will result in suspension or termination.

Prohibited Activities

• Process or redistribute copyrighted content without permission where required by law • Use SkipBro to mass-scrape, download, or rehost creators’ work • Inject malicious code, attempt to hack, or interfere with our infrastructure • Share API keys, tokens, or sell access to your workspace • Use SkipBro Chat to generate disallowed or illegal content • Violate any applicable laws, game publishers' rules, tournament policies, or YouTube’s terms • Try to bypass usage limits or rate limits in the extension or APIs

4. SkipBro Chat & Browser Extension

These features add convenience but rely on responsible use.

Chat Grounding

Chat answers are powered by the videos and notes you supply. Do not upload sensitive personal data or scrims that you are not authorized to share.

Extension Behavior

The overlay injects UI into YouTube pages on your machine. Do not tamper with the extension to impersonate other users or automate bulk downloads.

Support & Enforcement

Report bugs, harassment, or ToS violations to help@skipbro.com. We may disable access while issues are investigated.

5. Plans, Payments & Usage Limits

Free accounts exist, but higher limits or pro features may require payment.

Subscription Terms

Paid plans renew automatically unless canceled. We may change pricing, limits, or features with notice. Taxes are your responsibility.

Fair Use

We reserve the right to throttle or pause accounts that exceed reasonable usage, abuse the service, or degrade reliability for others.

Refunds

Refunds are handled case by case. Contact us within 14 days if something looks wrong.

6. Our Limitations

SkipBro is provided “as is” with no guarantees.

Service Availability

We don't guarantee SkipBro will be available all the time or that every video, patch, or game will parse perfectly. Features may change, pause, or be discontinued.

Content Accuracy

We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of generated timestamps, build trees, summaries, or patch assessments. Treat SkipBro as a helper, not as an authoritative competitive advantage.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkipBro is not liable for damages arising from your use of the service, including lost rank, lost time, or other indirect or consequential losses.

7. Copyright & DMCA

We respect creators and respond to valid infringement claims.

Your Responsibility

You must ensure you have the right to analyze any YouTube content with SkipBro. If you don't have permission or a valid basis (such as fair use), do not process the content.

DMCA Notices

If you believe your content has been processed improperly via SkipBro, contact help@skipbro.com with relevant details. We respond to valid DMCA requests and may disable access to disputed content.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use as SkipBro evolves.

Notification

If we make significant changes, we may notify you through the website, via email, or through in-product notices. Continued use of SkipBro after changes go into effect means you agree to the updated terms.

Versioning

We keep prior versions or change logs available upon request.
